Dow is seeking a Data Governance Analyst-type role in the United States to support enterprise governance practices. The role focuses on maintaining governance artifacts, improving data quality, metadata documentation, and ensuring governance standards across business domains.

The ideal candidate collaborates with business and technical teams to enhance data usability and consistency, with a strong eye for detail and analytical rigor. This position requires legal work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 5 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship is required.

Aufgaben

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Follow and apply governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create, maintain, and update business metadata, technical metadata, business glossary entries, and data catalog content.
• Document business definitions, data ownership information, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories, standards documentation, and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze results, and identify data issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation efforts for data quality challenges.
• Execute testing and validation activities related to governed data assets.
• Partner with Data Governance Managers and subject matter experts to capture business knowledge and requirements.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review and approval.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification, critical data element identification, and ownership alignment activities.
• Maintain documentation and metadata associated with governed data assets.
• Support governance communications, training materials, and awareness activities.
• Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices and deliverables.
