Job summary

Dow is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise governance practices, maintain governance artifacts, improve data quality, and ensure standards are applied across business domains. The role blends strong analytical skills with collaboration across business and technical teams to enhance the usability of enterprise data assets.

The candidate will work with governance managers to capture business knowledge, populate data catalogs, and support governance communications and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian equivalent, or 5 years with no degree.
• 2+ years in data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders on data-related efforts.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Create, maintain, and update business metadata, technical metadata, and data glossary entries.
• Document data ownership, stewardship, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and standards documentation.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify data issues.
