Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience; 5 years of experience may substitute.
• Minimum 2 years in data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational governance concepts, metadata, and data quality knowledge.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders on data initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support governance initiatives through completion of activities and deliverables.
• Apply governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create and maintain business/technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalogs.
• Document definitions, ownership, stewardship, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics and identify data issues.
• Assist root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges.
• Conduct testing/validation of governed data assets.
• Collaborate with Data Governance Managers and SMEs to capture knowledge requirements.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification and ownership alignment activities.
• Maintain metadata for governed data assets; support governance communications and training.
