Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience to a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 5 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or a related field
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• A U.S. work eligibility requirement; no visa sponsorship is available

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables
• Follow governance methodologies, templates, and best practices
• Create, maintain, and update business metadata, technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalog content
• Document business definitions, data ownership information, stewardship assignments, and data lineage
• Maintain governance repositories, standards documentation, and supporting materials
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze results, and identify data issues
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges
• Execute testing and validation activities related to governed data assets
• Partner with Data Governance Managers and SMEs to capture business knowledge and requirements
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review and approval
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms
• Support data classification, critical data element identification, and ownership alignment
• Maintain documentation and metadata associated with governed data assets
• Support governance communications, training materials, and awareness activities
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices
