Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent as stated; alternative experience accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Follow governance methodologies, templates, and best practices.
• Create, maintain, and update business metadata, technical metadata, glossary entries, and data catalog content.
• Document business definitions, data ownership information, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Maintain governance repositories, standards documentation, and supporting materials.
• Perform data quality assessments and validation activities.
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze results, and identify data issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and remediation for data quality challenges.
• Execute testing and validation activities related to governed data assets.
• Partner with Data Governance Managers and SMEs to capture business knowledge.
• Prepare governance documentation and recommendations for review and approval.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Support data classification, critical data element identification, and ownership alignment.
• Maintain documentation and metadata for governed data assets.
• Support governance communications, training materials, and awareness activities.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of governance practices.
