Job summary

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer with strong Python-based backend development, modern frontend frameworks, data engineering, and AWS cloud services. This role builds scalable applications, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native services for enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate will work across backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, and data workflows in an Agile environment, leveraging Django/DRF, Nuxt/Vue, AWS Glue, PostgreSQL, and Docker to deliver

Qualifications

• Hands-on Django/DRF and RESTful APIs experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Strong Python backend development with AWS cloud services.
• Frontend work with Nuxt/Vue and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build RESTful APIs using DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue and Pandas/NumPy.
• Implement authentication with django-rest-knox, OAuth, and Azure AD.
• Create frontend apps using Nuxt 4, Vue 3, and TypeScript.
• Manage state with Pinia and UI with Tailwind/Nuxt UI.
• Design and optimize data engineering pipelines for ingestion and delivery.
• Configure cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK (Python) and Terraform.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions and automated testing.
• Follow security best practices (IAM, Secrets Manager, WAF).
