Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer to build APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-native services across backend, frontend, and data engineering domains. The role emphasizes Python, Django/DRF, Nuxt/Vue, and AWS serverless patterns in a distributed Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will work with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS Glue, and infrastructure-as-code tools to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python-based backend development and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building scalable backend services and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build and document RESTful APIs using DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Create and maintain frontend apps using Nuxt 4, Vue 3, and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize data engineering pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery.
