Job summary

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer to build scalable backend services, data pipelines, and cloud-native APIs. You will work across Python-based backend, modern frontend frameworks, and AWS cloud services to support enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Python-based backends using Django/DRF.
• Strong frontend skills with Nuxt/Vue and TypeScript.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Hands-on AWS serverless, cloud infrastructure, and data transformation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services with Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build RESTful APIs using DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger; document APIs clearly.
• Implement data validation and API response modeling with Pydantic.
• Develop secure auth using django-rest-knox, OAuth, and Azure integrations.
• Create frontend apps with Nuxt 4, Vue 3, TypeScript; manage state with Pinia.
• Design and optimize data engineering pipelines for ingestion and delivery of data.
