Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer to design scalable Python/Django backends, modern frontends with Nuxt/Vue, and AWS cloud services. The role spans data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native apps in a distributed Agile environment.

You will work across backend, frontend, and data engineering with technologies like DRF, Pydantic, AWS Glue, and Terraform, contributing to secure, scalable enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python-based backend development and Django REST Framework.
• Experience building scalable APIs and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• frontend experience with Nuxt/Vue and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build and document RESTful APIs with DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Implement data validation with Pydantic.
• Develop secure authentication with django-rest-knox, OAuth, and MSAL/Azure AD.
• Create frontend using Nuxt 4, Vue 3, TypeScript; manage state with Pinia.
• Design and optimize data engineering pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue.
• Operate serverless apps with AWS Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge; utilize Redis/ElastiCache.
• Provision cloud infra with AWS CDK (Python) and Terraform; containerize with Docker.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; ensure code quality and testing.
