Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer skilled in Python backend and modern frontend frameworks to design scalable applications and data pipelines. The role involves building APIs, cloud-native services, and distributed data workflows across AWS.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Django/DRF, Nuxt/Vue, AWS serverless, and data transformation experience with AWS Glue. You will collaborate across backend, frontend, and cloud teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable backend services with Python and Django/DRF.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and documenting with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with AWS serverless and cloud services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge).
• Frontend experience with Nuxt 4, Vue 3, and TypeScript is required.
• Data engineering workflows and ETL/ELT in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, DRF.
• Build RESTful APIs with DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Pandas, NumPy.
