Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities. You will partner with business leaders, architects and engineering teams to set technical direction, deliver modern data platforms and build AI-powered solutions.

You will lead advanced data/AI initiatives using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and cloud platforms, mentoring teams, guiding architecture decisions and removing delivery barriers for secure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology discipline.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Experience providing technical leadership to development teams.
• Hands-on design/development of enterprise data/analytics solutions on Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of data pipelines, modelling, testing and monitoring.
• Ability to manage risks, governance and delivery timelines.
• Experience leading cross-functional workstreams and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with onshore/offshore delivery models and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data, analytics and AI platform initiatives.
• Guide architecture and solution design to meet security, scalability and reliability needs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review designs, pipelines and integrations for performance and maintainability.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance.
• Identify and remove technical barriers to delivery.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore transitions including knowledge transfer and handoffs.
