Job summary

EY seeks an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities across the US. You will partner with business leaders, architects and engineering teams to establish technical direction and deliver modern data platforms with measurable business value.

You’ll lead design and delivery of advanced data and AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, cloud platforms and emerging AI technologies; mentor teams, remove delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8 to 12 years of progressive data engineering experience.
• Experience providing technical leadership to development teams.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, modelling, testing and monitoring.
• Experience reviewing technical designs, platform integrations and data pipelines.
• Experience managing technical risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.
• Experience leading onshore and offshore delivery and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for enterprise data and AI platform initiatives.
• Guide architecture and solution-design decisions to meet requirements.
• Lead technical workstreams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review data pipelines, platform integrations and analytics solutions for performance.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, governance and delivery timelines.
• Identify and remove technical barriers to delivery.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead or support onshore and offshore transitions and knowledge transfer.
• Establish ownership and escalation processes across distributed teams.
