Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities. You will partner with business leaders and engineering teams to establish technical direction, deliver modern data platforms and create measurable business value.

You’ll lead design and delivery of data and AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, cloud platforms and emerging AI technologies, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring teams to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline.
8–12 years of progressive experience in data engineering or data platforms.
Hands-on experience guiding architecture and solution-design decisions.
Experience with Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric is required.
Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, modeling, testing, monitoring and production support.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for enterprise data, analytics and AI platform initiatives, from requirements and solution design through deployment and production support.
Guide architecture and solution-design decisions to meet business, security, scalability, quality and operational requirements.
Lead technical workstreams and multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
Review data pipelines, platform integrations and analytics solutions for reliability, scalability and performance.
Identify and remove barriers, manage risks, dependencies and delivery timelines with governance and quality controls.
Coach and mentor team members and promote best engineering practices.
