Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in Texas data centers. The role focuses on independent execution of standard deployment and operational tasks, including rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment provisioning.

The position requires a 1+ year background in data center operations or IT infrastructure and a willingness to work onsite primarily in Plano, TX.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation.
• Capable of performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with physically active work including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage per design documentation.
• Route and terminate copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install PDUs and connect equipment to power sources with correct connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning and basic validation and testing.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records and as-built documentation.
