Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in Texas. The role involves rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and ensuring safety and quality in line with Ericsson standards.

Primary location is Plano, TX with openness to other Texas locations. The candidate should have 1+ year experience in data center-related fields and be able to work independently under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of data center ops, structured cabling, telecom, or IT infra support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, and networking gear.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation docs, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network gear, storage per designs and docs.
• Route and terminate copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, verify connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management.
• Conduct basic testing and validation, including fiber verification.
• Execute MACDs and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
