Job summary

Ericsson in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise environments. You will perform rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational support while ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

1+ years of data center operations experience.
Experience in structured cabling, telecom or IT infrastructure support.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and MOPs.
Experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, testing and equipment installation.
Strong attention to detail and safety.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment and related infrastructure per designs.
Install, route and terminate copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
Install PDUs, connect to power sources and verify power connectivity.
Provision equipment and perform out-of-band management connections.
Execute testing/validation including continuity and fiber checks.
Perform MACDs and FRU replacements per procedures.
Maintain installation records, test results and as-built docs.
Escalate design or safety issues to senior technicians.
