Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and OOB management with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers across Texas locations, primarily Plano.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with labeling and proper management.
• Install rack PDUs, verify power and management connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, testing, and basic turn-up procedures.
• Conduct MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
• Escalate design or safety issues to senior staff.
