Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician II - Data Center Services to support both physical and virtual infrastructure, advancing data center best practices within procedures. You will drive operations, coordinate MACs, and ensure secure, documented processes across multiple customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years in data centers, two industry certs, and proficiency with Windows/Linux, SSH, RDP, and Putty. On-site work in Richardson, with full benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• General knowledge of server and network equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Support scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Install hardware, label devices, connect power and networks.
• Process hardware support work orders and troubleshoot.
• Asset management, audits, and daily logs/tickets.
• Provide smart-hands support at multiple sites within SLA.
• Maintain safe operating environment and security protocols.
• Document and record-keeping; log media retention.
• Coordinate receiving, shipping, and RMA processing.
• On-call duties as needed.
