Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a full-time Technician I in Roanoke, TX to support both the physical and virtual infrastructure of our data centers. The successful candidate will be involved in hardware installations, maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a High School diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. The position offers a salary range of $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, with full benefits available after 30 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in data centers or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server/network equipment and software configurations.
• Strong aptitude for independent work and high productivity rate.
• Able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Support and complete scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Hardware installation MACs, including device labeling and power connectivity.
• Complete hardware support work orders involving certification and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe and secure operating environment within the data center.
• Provide status reporting regarding data center service availability and performance.
