Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Technician II - Data Center Services to support both physical and virtual infrastructure. You will drive data center best practices, ensuring secure, documented operations and timely service delivery across multiple sites.

The role requires hands-on hardware, network, and DCIM tool proficiency, with on-call duties and strict adherence to safety and documentation standards. Competitive benefits follow after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and professional.
• Must possess problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Three+ years in data centers, operations or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server and network equipment and software support configurations.
• High School diploma or GED is required; two industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly support and complete all scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Hardware installation MACs including device labeling, power and network cabling.
• Complete hardware support work orders, troubleshooting and break-fix.
• Asset management, auditing and daily work log/ticket tracking.
• Provide on-call smart-hands support for multiple customers at various sites within SLA.
