Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician I - Data Center Services to support both physical and virtual infrastructure across facilities. The role drives best practices per industry standards into processes and procedures as applicable.

The position requires willingness to be a 100% full-time traveler, with on-site duties, and the opportunity for full benefits after 30 days of employment. Primary duties include MACs, hardware installs, asset management, and on-site support across multiple customers.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Two (2) years’ minimum of data center experience.
• Any server, OS, Network or data center certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly support and complete all scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Hardware installation MACs, including device labeling, power connectivity and network cable connectivity.
• Complete hardware support work orders involving hardware and cabling MACs, certification, troubleshooting and break-fix.
• Asset management, auditing and daily work log/ticket tracking.
• Provide smart-hands assistance as required for multiple customers at various sites within specified SLA response times (on-call duties may apply).
• Maintain a safe and secure operating environment within the data center and report any violations.
