Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician II - Data Center Services to support both physical and virtual infrastructure across multiple data center facilities. You will drive best practices and implement industry standards into daily processes, ensuring uptime and compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in data centers, familiarity with server/network hardware, DCIM tools, and two active certifications. On-site work with on-call rotations; benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Three or more years working in data centers, operations or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server/network equipment and software support configurations.
• Intermediate understanding of AC/DC power principles and data center power distribution.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Must possess at least two active industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Directly support and complete all scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Provide smart-hands assistance at multiple sites within SLA; on-call duties may apply.
• Maintain a safe, secured operating environment and ensure data protection procedures.
• Document and log daily activity and test results for audits and compliance.
• Coordinate equipment receiving, shipping and RMA processing as needed.
