Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician I - Data Center Services to support both the physical and virtual infrastructure. You will drive data center best practices and implement standard procedures across sites.

The role requires 2+ years in data centers or related tech fields, strong knowledge of server/network hardware, and the ability to work on-site with lifting requirements. On-call duties and full-time travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in data centers, operations or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server/network equipment and software support configurations.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles and data center power distribution.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly support and complete all scheduled data center MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes).
• Hardware installation MACs, including labeling, power connectivity and network cabling.
• Asset management, auditing and daily work log/ticket tracking.
• Provide smart-hands assistance for multiple customers at various sites within SLA times.
