Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks within a Data Center environment on a day shift. The role covers technical maintenance in critical client environments, with responsibilities ranging from routine inspections to responding to BMS alarms and coordinating with vendors.

The candidate should have a technical apprenticeship or equivalent, strong communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable working shifts that may include

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work routines and standards follow basic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data center equipment.
• Inspect Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment daily.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance.
• Record maintenance activities and quality checks.
• Check UPS, PDU readings and environmental conditions.
• Follow safety processes and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver outputs under supervision using defined procedures.
