Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs within a Data Center operation. The role supports critical and technical services in client environments.

You will inspect Mechanical & Engineering systems, respond to BMS alarms, and work with vendors to maintain safe, compliant operations. Strong attention to detail and basic math are essential, with flexibility for shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for running/alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related issues.
• Perform building walkthroughs and take meter readings for UPS, PDU, and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and document maintenance records.
