Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas seeks a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting to maintain service availability.

The role requires 18+ months in hardware and 18+ months in networking, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience. On-call rotations, travel between data centers, and relocation support are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting network issues.
• Responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Maintaining documentation and contributing to process improvements.
• On-call duties and participation in scheduled maintenance and change management.
• Assisting with interviewing, training and onboarding of new team members.
