Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking Data Center Technicians to install equipment, troubleshoot hardware and network issues, and support 24/7 operations across AWS data centers.

The role requires travel within the regional work area, and may include relocation stipends for eligible candidates. You will join a diverse team of engineers and specialists, perform on-call duties, document issues, and help train new staff while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in a related field, knowledge of network design and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
• On-call duties and participation in maintenance and change management activities.
• Documenting and improving processes based on issue analysis.
• Training and onboarding new team members.
