Job summary

Netrality Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain and monitor critical infrastructure across our Chicago-area facilities. You will respond to alerts, support both local tenants and international customers, and help manage installations, deliveries, and escalations.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, 2 years of data center or related technical experience, and solid customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of data center experience or related technical field.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Industry certs or technical associate degree preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of data center cooling and power helpful.
• Operate with a safety-first mindset and follow emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Critical Facilities Monitoring System and respond to alarm events.
• Provide top-tier physical and remote support for local and international colocation customers in a 24/7 facility.
• Process customer requests via web ticketing system including access, troubleshooting, orders and delivery logistics.
• Execute sales orders and facility preparations to support new customer environments.
• Perform hourly facility walkthroughs and verify readings of critical equipment.
• Assist with security monitoring using cameras, badges and alarms.
• Handle rack and stack tasks and general site support.
• Manage deliveries and coordinate resources to resolve client issues.
• Assist in deployment strategies and facility expansion planning.
• Sign visitors and escort authorized personnel as required.
• Support during outages and maintain detailed logs.
