Job summary

Netrality Data Centers in Indianapolis is seeking a Data Center Technician to monitor and maintain critical infrastructure across our facility, supporting colocations and tenants. You will address alarms, follow escalation procedures, and ensure high standards of security and reliability in a 24/7/365 environment.

Strong technical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting, customer service skills and safety-minded behavior are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of Data Center or closely related technical field experience preferred.
• Industry certifications or technical associate degree preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of data center cooling and power infrastructure a plus.
• 2 years of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Critical Facilities Monitoring System and provide reactive/notification/escalation services for alarm events.
• Provide top-tier physical and remote customer support for local and international Colocation customers 24/7/365.
• Use a web-based ticketing system to handle access requests, troubleshooting, orders, and general support.
• Assist with sales orders and facility prep for new customer environments.
• Perform hourly facility walk-throughs and readings of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Assist with physical security monitoring via cameras, badges, door alarms, and notifications.
• Perform rack & stack tasks for customer equipment as needed.
• Handle routine operations including equipment repair, interconnection orders, and site support.
• Manage package deliveries and coordinate receipt and shipping.
• Respond to client inquiries professionally and coordinate resources to resolve issues.
• Assist in client deployment plans and facility expansion.
