Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to help maintain and operate AWS data centers. You will install equipment, perform hardware repairs, troubleshoot networks, and respond to incidents across a 24/7 environment.

You will work with engineers, software developers, and vendors, and may travel within the regional work area. The role requires on-call shifts and the ability to lift heavy equipment while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or related IT experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware repair; troubleshoot network issues and address incidents.
• Serve as primary contact with engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements from analysis of issues.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
