Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, diagnose hardware and network issues, and contribute to 24/7 operations that keep AWS services running.

The role includes on-call duties, collaboration with engineers and contractors, and opportunities to train new team members while supporting facility moves and maintenance in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or related IT work.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience and ability to troubleshoot and repair.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware repairs; diagnose network issues to maintain service availability.
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal/external stakeholders (engineers, vendors, etc.).
• Take on on-call duties and participate in maintenance/change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and onboarding new team members.
