Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Team Leader to supervise the maintenance of HVAC, chillers, fire alarms, and related infrastructure in a high-availability data center environment.

You will lead skilled engineering teams on a day shift rotating 12-hour duties, 3 days one week and 4 days the next, ensuring uptime and client satisfaction. You will review performance, drive preventative maintenance programs, and coach staff to strengthen expertise across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with relevant experience in facilities or data centers.
• Experience in shift supervision and coordinating technical teams is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic math for reporting and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect engineering staff work to ensure equipment is functional and space is client-ready.
• Review service summaries and address recurring operational issues.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance for building systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to meet design specs and client requirements.
• Estimate time/materials for repairs, manage supplies, and order materials as needed.
• Support team with complex repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and department objectives.
• Coach team members and model CBRE RISE values in daily work.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
