Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Team Leader to oversee maintenance staff in a data center environment. The role focuses on electrical/mechanical maintenance of HVAC, chillers, coolers, and life-safety systems, with a day shift on a rotating 12-hour schedule.

You will lead engineering teams, manage vendor networks, and ensure uptime and reliability in critical facilities, applying advanced methods while maintaining CBRE’s operational standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and numerical/financial calculation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect the work of engineering staff to ensure complete, functional equipment and clean client spaces.
• Review monthly service summaries to identify recurrent operational problems.
• Formulate and implement a preventative maintenance program for building machinery and systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, and maintain inventory.
• Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
• Share advanced knowledge and develop new methods for departmental goals.
• Coach others to build knowledge across multiple disciplines.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values to influence stakeholders.
