Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager (Data Centers) to lead day-to-day field operations on complex hyperscale projects nationwide. You will manage mobilization, on-site teams, safety, scheduling, and turnover, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You’ll coordinate with design, project controls and subcontractors, review drawings and budgets, mentor staff, and drive procurement and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience; data center or mission-critical preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years related construction experience.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale field projects from mobilization to turnover.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings, budgets, and contracts.
• Strong people management skills and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for complex, mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Oversee construction activities from site mobilization through final turnover and commissioning.
• Own all field activities including safety, quality, schedule, planning, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain and track project schedule; develop two- to three-week lookahead and use it to meet the project timeline.
• Provide real-time scheduling updates to PM/Scheduler and ensure safety compliance.
• Train project team on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, and GoGray.
• Conduct site and weekly meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with the project schedule.
• Lead monthly progress reports covering safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, budget, and customer relations.
• Support procurement and buyout activities to meet the schedule; mentor and develop team members.
