Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager for Data Centers to lead day-to-day field operations on mission-critical projects. You will oversee mobilization through turnover, manage safety, schedule, and subcontractor coordination, and mentor on-site teams across multiple sites in the United States.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of construction experience with data centers, strong leadership, drawing interpretation skills, and proficiency with project software such as Procore and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience; data center or mission-critical preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of related construction experience.
• Ability to lead on-site teams and coordinate with design, project, and schedule management.
• Strong reading of architectural and engineering drawings; focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for complex, mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Oversee construction activities from site mobilization through final turnover and commissioning.
• Own all field activities: safety, quality, schedule, planning, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain and track the overall project schedule; provide two-three week lookaheads for management.
• Provide real-time schedule data to PM/Scheduler and assist with budget reviews.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentor team members, and train on Gray software.
• Conduct site meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with the project schedule.
• Prepare monthly progress reports on safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, and costs.
• Lead buyout and procurement coordination with the PM team; ensure schedule adherence.
• Travel to project sites nationwide as required; manage on-site safety culture.
