Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant MEP Site Manager (Data Centers) to join their Field Operations Team. This field position focuses on hyperscale data centers and on-site coordination.

You will support the MEP Project Manager, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, safety, and quality, travel to project sites across the U.S., and help deliver technically advanced facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (minimum).
• 5+ years related experience and/or training in industrial construction, data center or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including power distribution and cooling infrastructure.
• Ability to lead large field teams and manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar construction tech is a plus.
• Visa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to assist planning procedures for construction, including start/finish times and staffing.
• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Develop scopes of work for MEP Project/Site Manager review and approval.
• Contribute to MEP project schedule and cost estimates; coordinate trades during build.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and vendors; draft subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Assist in pricing work, changes, and change orders; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural) and maintain current set.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Ensure safety and quality standards; enforce Gray’s QMS program.
