Job summary

Digital Realty in Seattle, WA seeks a Site Engineer I to join the Data Center Operations team, reporting to the Manager Engineering Operations. You will contribute to daily site operations, management of procedures, change tickets, and incident reporting across mission critical infrastructure.

The role requires 1+ year in mission critical facilities, electrical or mechanical expertise, and proficiency with CMMS/DCIM.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in mission critical facilities operating/engineering.
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in the area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical with mechanical competence).
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand site- and DLR-specific items, including facility layouts, SOOs, SOPs and EOPs.
• Manage CMMS work orders, change management, and incident reporting.
• Perform site rounds, inspections and maintenance to ensure 100% uptime and SLA compliance.
• Develop or improve SOPs for site equipment and procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and support accreditation initiatives (SSA E16, SOC2, ISO 27001).
