Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer I to join our Data Center Operations team in one or more Virginia properties. The role focuses on mission-critical infrastructure, including generators, UPS, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, and CMMS systems, with expertise in electrical or mechanical work and competence in the non-specialist area to support 24x7 uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mission critical facilities engineering or equivalent equipment experience (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill with competence in the non-expert area.
• Strong knowledge of UPS and cooling architectures; ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily site operations and maintain site procedures.
• Create and modify SOPs; contribute to change management tickets.
• Perform rounds/inspections and report incidents promptly.
• Support CMMS/DCIM processes and maintain alignment with SLAs.
• Supervise minor construction activities and ensure 24x7 uptime.
