Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer II to join our Data Center Operations team in the United States. You will contribute to daily operations, maintain mission critical infrastructure, and support change management, incident reporting, and inspections to ensure maximum data center availability.

This role requires hands-on electrical or mechanical experience, strong knowledge of UPS and cooling systems, and the ability to document and improve SOPs while coordinating with cross-functional

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in mission critical facilities operating/engineering or equivalent equipment experience (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill with cross-discipline competence.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures.
• Understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS, Failover).
• Familiarity with CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems.

Responsibilities

• Gain a complete understanding of facility layout, MEP systems and site one-lines with accuracy.
• Create/edit SOPs, EOPs and change management work orders.
• Troubleshoot site electrical and mechanical systems and respond to incidents.
• Support site operations to achieve 100% uptime and SLA compliance.
• Develop and improve site procedures and SOPs.
• Assist with accreditation initiatives (SSA E16, SOC2, ISO 27001).
