Job summary

QTS is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, and mechanical systems in a 24x7 data center environment. The role includes on-site customer assistance, ticket management, and coordination with systems engineers for issue resolution.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, installing equipment per docs, and handling alerts and service requests. On-site work is required with strong safety and procedural discipline.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Applies learning, knowledge, and company policies to IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment and operating systems.
• Leads preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Provide high-level computer hardware and software configuration support.
• Install and document customer equipment per provisioning docs and procedures.
• Process work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance; update tickets.
