Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help drive delivery of network infrastructure and cabling projects at a site. The role requires development, management, customer engagement, and leadership across the project lifecycle.

You will establish programs, manage timelines, costs, quality and safety, consult with clients, present proposals, and support purchasing and bill of materials. On-site leadership and collaboration with internal and external teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management or similar experience.
• 1-3 + years of direct work experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling environment.
• Track record of delivering mission critical programs on time, within budget, and to applicable build, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• The APM will develop the program schedule and establish key milestones for delivery, ensuring targets are met in line with customer goals.
• During pre-construction, evaluate materials for constructability, oversee cost estimates, and coordinate design efforts and value engineering.
• Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time to meet deadlines.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
• Facilitate travel for technicians traveling to the project site.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and inspect projects for regulatory compliance.
• Explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with designers, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
