Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our data center team. You will work closely with senior project managers on all aspects of project management, including preparing RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating and managing contracts, and coordinating design and construction teams.

You will maintain project governance, conduct field quality control at site, and mentor yourself toward becoming a Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Construction, or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs and solicit proposals.
• Negotiate and manage contracts.
• Coordinate design and construction teams.
• Maintain project governance.
• Conduct field quality control of the craft trades at site.
• Ensure successful project turnover.
• Mentor junior team members toward becoming a Project Manager.
