Job summary

Meta seeks a Production Operations Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team in Cedar Rapids. You will support platform health, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on hardware, automation, and process improvements.

The role requires hands-on Linux/system administration skills, experience with server hardware, IPMI, and scripting to scale fixes across data centers. You may travel up to 15% and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• BS/BA/BEng in a technical field or commensurate experience.
• 5+ years IT experience in infrastructure environments (SRE/ SysAdmin).
• Linux knowledge for triage, debugging and server troubleshooting.
• Hands-on server hardware experience and storage knowledge.
• Familiarity with data center interdependencies and network basics.

Responsibilities

• Support platform health by resolving tickets and addressing root cause.
• Participate in deep dives, RCA, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware, process and tooling.
• Be point of contact for new platforms/hardware and drive rapid mass production.
• Use data and tooling to identify issues and communicate with stakeholders.
• Travel up to 15% and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
