Meta is seeking a forward-thinking Production Operations Engineer to join the Data Center Production Operations team in Bowling Green, OH. The role focuses on maintaining platform health, troubleshooting, and collaborating across teams to bring new platforms to mass production.

The position requires hands-on Linux and server hardware experience, plus scripting, automation, and data analysis skills. You will participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and may travel up to 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• BS, BA or BEng in technical field or commensurate experience
• 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience in roles like Systems Administrator, DevOps, or SRE
• Strong Linux experience in complex IT environment
• Hands-on server hardware knowledge including storage
• Knowledge of data center interdependencies: electrical, cooling, cabling, security, network
• Experience driving to root cause and technical issue management
• Experience with scripting/programming (Bash, Python, SQL, Go or similar)

Responsabilités

• Resolve tickets and support platform health, with root-cause focus
• Participate in deep dives and RCA of issues from tooling to hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware and automation
• Lead introduction of new platforms/hardware with partners
• Use data analysis to identify issues and communicate to stakeholders
• Identify hardware corrective actions with internal teams and vendors
• Develop fixes via scripting/automation for scalable resolution
• Improve processes, tools, and systems for efficiency
• Drive server uptime and utilization with data-driven decisions
• Provide coaching and go-to support for the team
• Maintain documentation and runbooks
• Support 24/7 on-call rotation and travel up to 15%
