Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction for industrial and commercial facilities across the United States, with up to 50% travel. The role centers on coordinating design, procurement and construction teams, ensuring schedules, budgets, safety and quality meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D Modelling software.
• Field Construction Experience on active construction projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing.
• Ability and willingness to travel to support project needs (up to 50%).
• Hybrid work environment across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on various tasks: bid packages, scheduling, estimating, VDC modeling and reporting.
• Be a knowledge base for constructability and sequencing planning.
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders.
• Manage client interface and align with client expectations.
• Lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow.
• Conduct constructability reviews during design phases with appropriate resources.
• Support modularization and off-site manufacturing studies.
• Assist estimate and schedule development and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with construction and procurement teams.
• Support development of 4-D visualizations.
• Create thorough site logistics plans including utilities and offsite needs.
• Coordinate with safety, quality, and project services groups to ensure preconstruction planning.
• Prepare and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Foster cooperative partnerships among client, contractor and stakeholders to resolve issues timely.
