Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction on diverse data center projects across the US, with up to 50% travel. Join our Advanced Manufacturing group to lead planning, risk mitigation, and collaborative execution from design through construction phases.

You will coordinate across design, procurement, and field teams, champion constructability reviews, and develop 4-D visualizations to optimize schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience managing industrial/commercial construction projects.
• Experience with 3D Modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for project needs.
• Hybrid work capability across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on bid package development, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling, and reporting.
• Contribute to design-constructability and sequencing planning as a knowledge base.
• Drive collaboration between stakeholders and manage client interface.
• Lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow.
• Conduct constructability reviews with appropriate resources throughout design.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans for projects.
• Coordinate with safety, quality, and project services groups for planning.
• Support development of 4-D visualizations and site logistics plans.
