Job summary

Jacobs Advanced Manufacturing is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction. You will coordinate with design, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams to plan projects within budgets and timelines, traveling up to 50% to client sites and offices across North America.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of construction leadership, strong communication, and experience with 3D modelling and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing construction projects in industrial/commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D Modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
• Hybrid work environment experience across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction team on bid package development, scheduling, estimating, VDC modeling, and reporting.
• Contribute to design constructability and sequencing plans.
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations and interface.
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement, and construction teams.
• Conduct constructability reviews across design phases.
• Review modularization and off-site manufacturing studies.
• Assist with cost and schedule development and optimization opportunities.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with construction teams.
• Support development of 4-D visualizations.
• Create thorough site logistics plans for utilities and offsite needs.
• Coordinate with safety, quality, and project services groups.
• Prepare and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Foster cooperative partnerships among client, contractor, and stakeholders.
