Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction for data centers across North America. You will coordinate with design, procurement and construction teams to develop plans within budgets and schedules while mitigating risks.

The role requires travel up to 50%, strong leadership, and ability to work in a hybrid environment with multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent
• 5+ years managing construction projects in industrial/commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D modelling software
• Field construction experience on active projects
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment across multiple time zones

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning deliverables (bid packages, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling)
• Contribute to constructability and sequencing plans
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders
• Align with client expectations and manage interface
• Lead planning and execution with design, procurement and construction teams
• Conduct constructability reviews across design phases
• Support modularization and off-site manufacturing studies
• Assist in schedule and cost development and opportunities for optimization
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies
• Create 4-D visualizations and site logistics plans
• Coordinate with safety, quality and project services groups
• Maintain risk registers and mitigation plans
• Foster a cooperative client-contractor-stakeholder relationship
