Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction. You will work on preconstruction planning, routing, scheduling, and risk mitigation while coordinating design, procurement and construction teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent or equivalent years of experience
• 5+ years experience managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D modelling software
• Field construction experience on active projects
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time across North America
• Hybrid work environment and ability to coordinate across time zones

Responsibilities

• Support the preconstruction team on tasks including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modelling, and reporting
• Contribute to constructability and sequencing planning
• Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders
• Understand client expectations and manage client interface
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely information flow
• Conduct constructability reviews during design phases and coordinate resources
• Review modularization and off-site manufacturing studies
• Support estimate and schedule development and identify optimization opportunities
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies
• Support development of 4-D visualizations
• Develop site logistics plans including utilities and requirements
• Coordinate with Jacobs safety, quality, and project services groups to ensure planning processes
• Prepare and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans
• Foster a cooperative partnership among client, contractor and stakeholders to resolve issues timely
