Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction on industrial and commercial facilities across the United States, with travel up to 50%.

You’ll lead planning with design, procurement and construction teams, conduct constructability reviews, develop risk registers, and ensure timely, on-budget project delivery while coordinating with client, design and field teams in a hybrid, multi-time-zone environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience managing industrial/construction projects.
• Proficient with 3D modelling software.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning deliverables including bid packages, scheduling, estimating and 3D modeling.
• Contribute to design constructability and sequencing plans.
• Lead collaboration between stakeholders and client interfaces.
• Guide planning with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow.
• Conduct constructability reviews and optimize resource allocation.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with teams.
• Support risk assessment and mitigation planning.
